What crystals are not safe to put in water?
Common crystals that you should never get wet include: Amber, Turquoise, Red Coral, Fire Opal, Moonstone, Calcite, Kyanite, Kunzite, Angelite, Azurite, Selenite.
A good rule of thumb: Many stones that end in “ite” are not water-friendly.
If you are wanting to carry around your stones and keep them on you or put them under pillows then buy chakra tumbled Crystals, this means that they have been smoothed and polished and are safe to be cleansed using other methods.
You do not need to team up all of these crystals for them to work, you can use any of these crystals individually, but it is thought that they usually work better when teamed up with other chakra stones.

To do this: BROWN RICE CLEANSING METHOD
Fill a bowl with dry brown rice and bury your stones beneath the grains for 4-6 hours or overnight.

What is the difference between tumbled and Natural (Raw) crystals?
The natural crystal is a crystal which has not had its shape altered and remains the same as it was when it grew in the earth.
Tumbled or Polished crystals have been processed by hand and/or machine.
Depending who you speak to some folks believe that raw stones have more of a pure energy since they have been untouched and unchanged. ... Tumbled stones, unlike their raw counterparts, have gone through a process to smooth them out. The tumbling process does not take anything away from the crystals energetically, or vibrationally.
You can also get cut or shaped crystals, some folks would argue that because the stone has been cut into, to alter its appearance, the energy that flows through it has disturbed, so would be unusable.
