We Are the Champions     Queen   1977

I've paid my dues
Time after time
I've done my sentence
But committed no crime
And bad mistakes
I've made a few
I've had my share of sand Kicked in my face
But I've come through
And we mean to go on and on and on and on
We are the champions - my friends
And we'll keep on fighting
Till the end
We are the champions
We are the champions
No time for losers
'Cause we are the champions of the World
I've taken my bows
And my curtain calls
You brought me fame and fortune
And everything that goes with it
I thank you all
But it's been no bed of roses
No pleasure cruise
I consider it a challenge before
The whole human race
And I ain't gonna lose
And we mean to go on and on and on and on

We are the champions - my friends…

And we'll keep on fighting til the end

We are the champions
We are the champions

No time for losers
'Cause, we are the champions.

The Mandela Effect is an unexplained phenomenon that you’ve probably experienced without knowing what it’s called, and it’s garnering more and more attention lately. It is those curious instances in which many of us are certain we remember something in a particular way but actually turns out we’re incorrect. It didn't happen that way at all.

The name of this theory comes from many people feeling certain they could remember Nelson Mandela dying while he was still an inmate in prison during the 1980s. Contrary to what many thought, Mandela’s actual death was on Dec. 5, 2013, despite some people claiming to remember seeing clips of his funeral on TV.

These false memories have had some people thinking something is wrong with there memory, but some have wondered/thought if they have gone to a parallel universe, or even if time travellers have gone to the past and slightly affected our present, or if they are just simply losing their minds. Whichever it is, what’s most interesting about the Mandela effect is that so many individuals have shared the same false memories.

Let me give you a few examples, just to get your juices flowing.

1) As a Radio Presenter (Every Monday night between 9 pm & 11 pm on Fylde Coast Radio) and Queen fan, we all sing along to the anthem we are the Champions, especially sung if out at a sporting event or watching an event with friends at the pub and our team wins, and we start to sing 'We Are the Champions' by Queen (Originally released in 1977. We all know the words and we all sing the line, "No time for losers, ’cause we are the champions…of the world!”, If we go on to sing the rest of the lyrics to the song to the end of the track, we all still sing the words "of the world" even though it is never sung by Freddie, the song just ends.

There is also a film you can watch, released in 2019 The Mandela Effect by David Guy Levy.

"A man becomes obsessed with facts and events that have been collectively misremembered by thousands of people.

Believing the phenomena to be the symptom of something larger, his obsession eventually leads him to question reality itself."
